I bought the diverter valve in case I had problems after greasing the diverter on our dishmaster which is several months old. Applying plumbers grease to the unit solved the problem for about 2-3 week but it is going bad again. I have not replaced the valve as yet..
I had diverter valve problems with our previous dishmaster as well, I did replace the diverter valve and it lasted about 4 months. I then replaced the unit.
I have had dismasters for over 50 years and have never had diverter problems like this.
We're sorry you're having trouble. The diverter must be clean and lubricated. Never use WD40.

Easy to replace but I had to call you for help on getting it to work right. You gave me suggestions and it worked. THANKS
