    Great Product

Part works perfectly. Just an ironic note. The cost of this Assy ($24.99), is 4 cents more than the price of the whole unit that I purchased for my 1st home that I bought in 1959. I've had a Dishmaster in every home I've owned, & even bought them for my 3 offspring's homes

Here are some examples of what those great prices from the 'good 'ol days' would be in today's dollars as of December 2018. See for yourself at CPI Inflation Calculator: 1950 Deluxe $49.50 - today $529.19, 1959 Imperial $39.50 - today $342.20, 2002 Imperial Four $195.81 - today $273.60

    Longevity

Why does the diverter fail after a year. It becomes sticky and doesn't retract so water sprays out of the brush rather than the faucet. I've had Dishmaster for 40 years and love it but it's expensive to keep replacing the diverter.
I live in Orange Co. Ca and have always had a water softner. The prbolem seems to have become more frequent over the last few years.

If it happens again, please see these instructions and videos. There is a lack of lubrication and/or something has gotten on the rod and dried there. Seldom should it need to be replaced. https://dishmasterfaucet.com/pages/ts276-diverter-knob-will-not-drop
