This cartridge replaces P4030-6

This cartridge is auto-off except under conditions of very low, extremely high or unreliable water pressure, sediment or particles in water, buildup of lime, salt, iron or other mineral deposits, etc., in which case it must be disengaged manually by the user.

Replacing the diverter stopped the sticking. But I could not figure out why the old diverted was sticking.

Most often it is due to lime, or other things, in the water that build up on the internal surfaces of the cartridge. Debris can also accumulate in the cartridge. See tips for cleaning here: https://dishmasterfaucet.com/pages/p4030-7-diverter-cartridge

I haven’t inserted P4030-7 yet. I will do so as soon as the original diverter cartridge fails.

Easy to install

Instructions easy to follow, my only complaint is that knob doesn’t fit well. I put the new little screw in, but the new textured end on the diverter doesn’t fit my existing knob well - the knob is wobbly, I’ve had to reset it once a week or so.
