May need replaced if, after viewing the video,
- the diverter will not drop
- water comes from both the spout and wand at the same time
- water leaks from the small hole where the diverter rod enters the spout
- water leaks at the base of the spout

Replacement part works perfectly. Pricing is eye-watering.
You could have saved $33 by ordering just the K0228 kit. Both are not necessary.
Changed out the diverter valve and still had and intermittent seep out the brush. Increased the pressure on the shutoff valve handles and that took care of the problem. The control handles will shut off the flow out of the faucet with slightly less pressure (torque) but still allow a tiny seep out of the diverter. Lesson learned.
