TS27 - Water flows from the spout and wand at the same time
If when the diverter is in the DOWN position.
- Water is prevented from flowing to the brush when the diverter is in the down position and the diverter seal closes the opening in the insert. If water does flow to the brush when the diverter is down, the face of the insert should be cleaned and/or the diverter seal should be replaced.
- See K31088 Diverter Assembly instructions to remove the spout. Do NOT remove the insert.
- Examine the diverter seal. If it is worn or damaged it should be replaced. See K0288 Diverter Seals or K31088 Diverter Assembly.
- Examine the face of the insert. If it has an accumulation of lime or other mineral deposits they must be removed. Do not scratch the surface. Use a towel to remove the standing water around the insert. Replace the water with white vinegar and allow it to sit until the deposits are dissolved. Do not scratch the surface. If the face of the insert is cannot be cleaned or it is scratched, replace the applicable insert: either K32315 Insert or K31080 Insert.
If when the diverter is in the UP position.
- Water is prevented from flowing to the spout when the diverter is in the up position and the diverter seal closes the opening in the spout base. If water does flow to the spout when the diverter is up, the spout base should be cleaned and/or the diverter seal should be replaced.
- See K31088 Diverter Assembly instructions to remove the spout.
- Examine the diverter valve. If it is worn or damaged it should be replaced. See K0288 Diverter Seals or K31088 Diverter Assembly.
- Examine the spout base. If it has an accumulation of lime or other mineral deposits they must be removed. Do not scratch the surface. Place the spout in a container. Cover the spout base with white vinegar or a commercially available lime remover and allow it to sit until the deposits are dissolved. If the spout base cannot be cleaned or it is scratched the spout should be replaced.
