FAQ - Why does water run from the spout after it's turned off?

Why does water run from the spout after it's turned off?

This is a normal characteristic of any brand of faucet with a high-arc spout. After the handle(s) are shut off, there is still water inside of the spout. Any residual water past the arc of the spout will slowly drip out of the spout. Gravity will pull this water from the spout; however, it should stop after several minutes.

Two solutions to stop the drip in high arced spouts:

  • No-Cost Solution: watch this video Note: if your water pressure is not high enough and/or water volume is too low, it may not hold for prolonged periods of time.

  • Low-Cost solution: see this product: P4255 No-Drip Solution and Watch the video
