The Right Stuff in the Right Place at the Right Time...

I like to tinker. We like our Dishmaster. However, those who have only tried an old tired unit may not enjoy one because it might not work as designed.
Recently, we took ours apart and finished repairing it back to factory standards.
Our used unit, purchased off Ebay, is now working as it should.
It only takes one finger to open the valve, and your little finger can shut the water off easily and quickly.
Like the reviewers before me, I put a tiny amount on the diverter valve and it now works flawlessly.
I upgraded our cold water valve to a new stem, and used a bit of the silicone grease to lubricate it prior to assembly, both on the threads and the O-rings.
Both the hot and cold water valves now work as Dishmaster intended them to, and I attribute part of the fix to the correct silicone seal.
It is a small detail with a small price, but a worthwhile tube to have in your tool arsenal.
The tube will last a lifetime if you don't go overboard when you apply it.
Now that my unit has new seats, one new stem, and a gentle application of silicone lubricant, it should be trouble-free for many months.

Silicone Grease Review.

The grease works great. I put a few drops on the diverter lever and it has stopped sticking!

Makes the seal slickery

Just the right extra bit to help the o-rings complete the seal.
