The water supply valves need not be shut off to make this repair but do NOT open the mixer valve until the repair is complete!

    Disassemble

    • Unscrew and remove the diverter lever
    • Use a 2.5mm hex key to loosen the set screw
    • Pull the diverter knob from the diverter cartridge
    • Unscrew and remove the retaining ring
    • Pull the diverter cartridge from the faucet body - make sure the diverter seal is removed from the faucet body

    Insert Cartridge

    • Lubricate the cartridge O-ring with NSF-61 certified silicone grease
    • Make certain the diverter seal is in place
    • There are 6-holes in the bottom of the socket in the faucet body. The two pins on the diverter cartridge must be aligned vertically with the two, smallest diameter, blind holes. Once the pins are aligned press the cartridge fully into the faucet body. The cartridge O-ring will resist going into the body because it is a close fit. It will feel "springy" due to the seal on the face of the cartridge and the cartridge O-ring - do NOT strike the cartridge to force it into position.
    • Screw the retaining ring into the faucet body until it has completely bottomed out. When properly seated, no more than one thread at most will be visible on the retaining ring - the retaining ring MUST be fully seated.

    Reassemble

    • Place the diverter knob onto the diverter cartridge
    • Rotate the diverter knob until the set screw is vertical
    • Very firmly tighten the set screw
    • Screw the diverter lever onto the set screw
