    Things To Know

    The M65 Sapphire is designed for sink or countertop installation on surfaces up to 2.2" thick and fits all standard 2, 3 and 4-hole sinks. Only two holes on minimum 4” centers are required. Please refer to the specification sheets and example installations.
    We strongly recommend that you have hot and cold shut-off valves located under the sink and we believe flexible supply lines are the most convenient way to connect your water supply for a sink/countertop installation.
    Your Dishmaster is designed to use liquid detergents. Do not attempt to use soaps or soap powders. We recommend Dishmaster® Liquid Detergent Concentrate. Other name brand liquid detergents may work in your Dishmaster. Do not use detergents with lotion additives. Avoid detergents that appear cloudy rather than clear.
    If you have chosen an Arced Spout: water flow may not immediately stop after the lever handle is closed.  This is a normal characteristic of any arced spout.  After the valve is closed there is still residual water past the arc of the spout and gravity will pull this water from the spout. If your water pressure is high enough it may (immediately or over time) force the air from the peak of the spout and create a vacuum.  If so, the water flow will stop immediately when the lever handle is closed.
    Under these two circumstances the diverter valve may not always close:
    • If you divert the water flow to the wand at a very low rate of flow, the diverter valve may not return to the closed position when the main (mixer) valve is closed. Therefore, be visually aware of the position of the diverter valve before you open the main valve to turn the water on the next time.
    • Likewise, the diverter valve may not return to the closed position if the main (mixer) valve is closed slowly. Therefore, close the main valve quickly when you turn the water flow off so that the diverter valve will return to the closed position.
    Every faucet’s longevity is subject to the condition of the water that flows through it. A Dishmaster is no exception. Water quality causes the most variation in the performance of a Dishmaster Faucet and water conditions vary greatly throughout the country. In addition, the unique design of your Dishmaster that allows it to dispense suds at the touch of a button means it has more components than the typical faucet. We have no control over the condition of your water and therefore do not warranty seals or rubber components. However, with proper care, your Dishmaster will give you many years of reliable service. Please take a few minutes to read through the Operation and Maintenance sections and become familiar with the use and care of your Dishmaster.
    We are continuously improving the design and material content of the parts used in our Dishmaster faucets. After development and testing, we incorporate these improvements into production. Any part improved in this manner is interchangeable with the part(s) it replaces. When new style parts are supplied on a parts order they are interchangeable with the old parts.

     

     

    Operation

    Adjust the aerator
    • Place your fingertip on the face of the aerator and swivel it up to 10 degrees in any direction
    Attach the Brush
    • Engage two lugs on the inside of the brush in the brush adapter slots and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise
    Remove the Brush
    • Rotate the brush 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull off
    Fill the Detergent Tank
    • Lift the detergent tank, with hose, into the sink
    • Remove the detergent tank lid
    • Fill the tank with warm water
    • Add four tablespoons liquid detergent concentrate to the tank
    • Gently stir to thoroughly mix the detergent into the water
    • Replace the lid
    • Return the tank to its place beneath the sink
    Refill the Detergent Tank
    Before you refill the tank is a perfect time to backflush. Over time, detergent can congeal in the components and deteriorate the performance of your Dishmaster. This is especially likely if your detergent to water ratio is mixed stronger than recommended or if you use a detergent with a lotion additive. Perform the quick backflush routine each time before refilling the tank to keep your Dishmaster in top working condition.
    Use the Wand
    • Turn on the water and adjust the volume and temperature as desired
    • Lift the wand and grip it by the handle
    • Point the brush downward into the sink basin
    • Rotate the diverter knob 1/3 turn in either direction
    • Direct the spray onto the dish and press the red button for suds
    • Sweep the brush bristles over the dish to scrub the dish clean
    • Press the brush into the dish to spread the bristles and engage the built-in scraper
    • Release the red button for clear water rinse
    • Turn off the water
    • Place the wand in the holder

    Maintenance

    Backflush
    The detergent you add to your tank may congeal and separate from the water over time. The congealed detergent may accumulate in the tank, hose, tube and wand. Miscellaneous particles that come through your water lines may also accumulate. Backflush to wash out the obstructions. Caution: this procedure causes water to flow backward. Be sure to follow the steps to confine the water to the sink.
    • Lift the detergent tank, with lid and tube attached, into the sink.
    • Unscrew the lid from the tank and place it in the sink with the two small holes facing downward.
    • Place a sponge or dishcloth in the bottom of the sink.
    • Remove the brush from the end of the wand.
    • Turn on the water and adjust the temperature to warm.
    • Divert the water from the spout to the wand.
    • Press the end of the wand into the sponge or dishcloth to restrict the water flow - you will not be able to completely restrict the flow.
    • Press the red button.
    • Water should flow from both small holes and from the end of the tube where it is attached to the button at the top of the lid.
    • Clean the detergent tank.
    • Refill the tank.
    • Reattach the lid.
    • Place the assembled detergent tank beneath the sink.
    • Reattach the brush to the wand.
    Your Dishmaster will work best if you routinely perform this procedure. Make it a habit to take a few moments and backflush every time your tank runs empty and before refilling.
    Care and Cleaning
    Use a mild cleanser such as liquid dishwashing detergent to clean your faucet. Always test a cleaning solution in an inconspicuous area before cleaning the entire surface. Do not let the cleanser sit on the surface for any extended period of time. Immediately rinse surfaces with clean water. Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth, never a scouring pad, brush or other abrasive material.
    Brushes will give many months of service with proper care and use. To clean the brush, flatten the brush on the bottom of the sink to spread the bristles, press the red button and run hot sudsy water through it. If the brush becomes grease coated, use a little grease-removal type cleanser. Replacement brushes are available for a variety of applications.

     

     

    Aerator
    If the water stream from the spout is weak or uneven, the aerator may have accumulated particulate (tiny bits and pieces of things that come through your water lines). Follow this procedure to remove the particulate. Plug or cover your sink drain(s) so that no small parts will go down the drain if you drop them. If you must use pliers to remove the aerator, pad the jaws with a cloth to prevent scratching the surfaces.
    • Unscrew the aerator assembly from the end of the spout by turning it counter-clockwise.
    • Be certain to capture the black gasket. It will sometimes stick to the end of the spout rather than come off with the aerator assembly.
    • There is no need to disassemble the aerator components.
    • Turn the aerator assembly upside down and tap it on the countertop until the accumulation of particulate is removed. It may help to rinse the aerator assembly.
    • Use white vinegar or a commercially available product to remove lime or other mineral deposits.
    • Run water through the spout to wash out any particulate that may be in the spout.
    • Place the black gasket into the aerator assembly.
    • Screw the aerator assembly back onto the end of the spout. Hand-tighten only. Do not use pliers.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    "Limited" Manufacturer's Warranty

    We warrant that this DISHMASTER® FAUCET has been thoroughly checked and water tested before shipment from the factory and, to the best of our knowledge, is free of mechanical and material defects. Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship under normal installation, use, and service develop within FIVE (5) YEARS from the date of purchase; SilverStream LLC will, at its election, repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment.
    What is not covered:
    • Damage caused by accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, or adverse water conditions
    • Damage caused by improper, or lack of, care or cleaning
    • Normal wear and tear
    • Rubber parts, seals, brushes and decorative finishes
    • Improper installation, service or repair whether performed by a contractor, a service company, or you
    SilverStream LLC is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other incidental or consequential costs. In no event shall the liability of SilverStream exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
    KEEP YOUR SALES RECEIPT TO ESTABLISH PROOF OF PURCHASE. If you believe you have a warranty claim, contact SilverStream LLC, 901 W Frank St, Mitchell, IN 47446. Provide all pertinent information regarding your claim, including the model number, a complete description of the problem, finish, date of purchase, and from whom the faucet was purchased. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser must accompany all warranty claims.     This Warranty applies to the United States of America ONLY. All "Foreign Countries" contact your Local Dealer or Importer for your Warranty Rights and Procedures for any necessary service.
    Some states/provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state/province to state/province.
