New water valves

The new water valves still leek.
Help

Make certain the valves are properly adjusted. See these instructions to adjust the handles: https://dishmasterfaucet.com/pages/ts7-adjust-handles
And this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz8l5eREsBg&feature=youtu.be

The cause of the leak may have been misdiagnosed. Inspect the seats by pulling the valve assembly: https://dishmasterfaucet.com/pages/ts7-valve-stem-assembly
Or, inspect the seats by accessing the seats: https://dishmasterfaucet.com/pages/k31230-valve-seats

Valve Stem Replacement - Not Always The Issue

Looking over my billing records, I noticed I had purchased replacement seals for the cold water side in April. That means it was leaking and a new seal set fixed the issue. Now, 6 months later, I changed the valve stem because you needed to crank down on the cold water side to stop the drip. Even purchased the recommended grease. Unfortunately, the cold water tap didn't have that Dishmaster effortless shut off that I'm accustomed to. So I pulled the unit and took a close look at the seat. After removing the seat and sanding it down carefully, the surface was defect-free again. I installed the seat, put the unit back on the kitchen sink, and sure enough, it works like brand new. People who have never used a Dishmaster unit don't understand why we love them! The answer is simple: they are one of the best kitchen devices a person can own.
Remember: your hot and cold water shut off valves should work effortlessly. If you are wearing down your valve stem threads, it may be a defect in the seat surface. Old seats can be sanded using 600 grit wet and dry on a flat surface, or you can buy replacements here on the manufacturer's website.
My Wife is very happy with how it works now, and I am confident that I can make the seats last a whole lot longer than before.
These units make for super quick cleaning of evening dishes immediately after dinner with no hour-long noise from a dishwasher.

Satisfied Dishmaster customer since the 1980's!
