Expensive, cheap brass, develops pitting/cracks and has to be replaced yearly.

It's horrible to be at the mercy of Dishmaster's extremely high prices for these replacement valve seats that end up developing cracks/splits yearly and cause the faucet to drip. I live in a 50s home and no other faucet in the entire house (even the shower) develops pitting/cracks as soon as these valve seats do. My pressure is properly regulated to 55-60 psi, and the water isn't heavily mineralized. The sink doesn't get an abnormal amount of use either. The brass is of low quality, not polished, and the valve seats have micro machine marks that contribute to premature flowline erosion. My M76 Imperial four faucet costs me about $10/month in maintenance for all the parts I have to replace. I have a bathroom faucet that is 15 years old from another brand and it has never needed any maintenance. Can't wait to do a kitchen remodel and go with a standard faucet.

The valve seats are made from high quality C69300 lead free brass. Prior to your recent purchase, you last purchased seats in November 2023. Thus we agree it appears that in your situation the seat must be replaced on the hot valve once per year. This is not uncommon. Hot water accelerates faucet wear primarily through the accelerated mineral buildup (limescale) deposits, especially in older steel pipes, and by causing components to expand and contract more significantly, which leads to quicker degradation. These dissolved minerals then precipitate out of the water and build up as scale deposits inside the pipes and faucet, particularly at the valve seat. Unfortunately we are not able to overcome the conditions.
